Fires ???

Sorry for the gap in posts, I've been on the road traveling to different stations back filling vacancies. Since my last post, I've been to Station 3 and Station 4 and back here to Station 7. I can report that the days of the fighting fires have seemed to make a come back. I hear from our admin that our department has run more structure fires so far this year than we did all of last year and we are only four months in to the year. It seems that each shift is averaging a fire a shift. This is good for all the newer firefighters gaining valuable experience that we have lost over that past years due to retirements, however it is a bad thing because that means some one's stuff is tragically being lost.
